I work at the Black African American Cultural Center (B/AACC) and we provide many resources and build community among black-identifying students. CSU supports Black students solely through the B/AACC. It is very hard for students with intersecting identities at CSU, we try to support them at B/AACC but I worry we fail too often. I wish there were more resources for BIPOC students in the stem fields, it can be very isolating. Also, I wish they would teach more about BIPOC contributors in the sciences. I do not feel represented. My advice is to find your people, whether that is folks who share your same race, ethnicity, gender identity, interests, or major. Find your tribe, it makes college so much easier.
